CellMade™, a French-Dutch biotechnology with facilities in Archamps (France) and on the Chemelot campus (Geleen, The Netherlands) develops its proprietary systems biology platform CellInsight™.

The company introduced its proprietary platform CellInsight™ based upon 3D culture of human-origin primary cells analyzed via powerful analytical tools (capillary cytometry coupled to mass spectrometry). Associated to mathematical models, this systems biology approach allows for following an important number of molecular interactions, including biochemical feedback mechanisms, within complex biological systems. Dosing test items in such a system leads to rapid insight in working mechanism and to predict the model systems behavior with respect to the selected test item. The activity profile of the compound can be evaluated in parallel to identification of biomarkers related to the compounds effect on the selected model system. Off-target interactions can be visualized.

In fine, CellMade™ technologies allow for high content analysis and deliver insights in pharmacological and safety profiles of test items. An important characteristic of the CellInsight™ model is that it was developed from in vivo back to representative in vitro models. Obtained in vitro results using CellInsight™ better predict potential in vivo experimental outcome.
